A Head on the Wall is a piece of fiction that reflects on identity and social change through the character of a bullfighter who must reinvent his life after the abolition of bullfighting.
The short film has had a distinguished life on the festival and awards circuit: it has been recognized at the International Film Festival of Palencia, where it won the jury prize for best short film and best soundtrack, and triumphed with several awards at the Fugaz Awards 2025, including Best Short Film, as well as technical recognitions in photography, production direction, art and costumes.
In addition, the project is part of the selection for the Goya Awards 2026, placing Lloret de Mar on the map of locations for a film production with national projection.
